Have you received a child restraint or seat belt tickets in Queens or anywhere in New York? My Tickets NYC can help! Let’s face it, we all know that child restraints and seat belts save lives and that you should have your child’s restraints properly fastened.
New York State requires children to be in a child restraint (child’s car seat/booster) if they are:
- under the age of 9, or
- under 4’9″ tall, or
- under 100 pounds
All passengers are required to wear a seat belt. Law enforcement officers can give you a seat belt ticket if you are not wearing one. If you are caught with a child under the age of 16 who is not wearing a seat belt, you, the driver, will receive a 3-point ticket. Not only is everyone in the car required to wear a seat belt but children must have the appropriate child safety restraints. Click for complete details of Queens & NYS Seat belt laws.
